preschoolRChild Care Offerings

Full-time Child Care is divided into specific, age-appropriate programs that provide your kids with high-quality and enjoyable experiences. Children will learn socialization, academics, swimming (3-5 year-olds), music, and physical education. Full day child care begins at 6:30 am and ends at 6:00pm.

The YMCA's infant care program is designed to meet the needs of each baby based on his or her own schedule. Infants nap, feed, play, and cuddle when they're ready, not on someone else's predetermined timeline. Music, singing, reading, finger playing, and constant verbalization foster budding socialization, self-concept, and developmental skills. Facilities are equipped with cribs, swings, walkers, and age-appropriate toys and books.

Toddlers make great developmental strides from first steps to potty-training and our teachers are right there to provide support in a fun and active environment. Energetic teachers plan activities to encourage a toddler's eager investigation of the world. Teachers plan days filled with a balance of quiet activities, spirited music and movement, plenty of outdoor climbing, running and jumping.

Young toddlers in our Toddler 1 room play and learn in an environment with lots of opportunities for independent exploration. Finger play, stories and songs are incorporated into each day to foster a toddler's awareness of the world around them. For our older toddlers in our Toddler 2 room, the emphasis is socialization and the acquisition of self-help skills, particularly potty training. Activities such as circle time are introduced to encourage verbal and social growth. In addition, toddlers are practicing hand washing, putting on their coats, picking up their toys and sharing with their friends.

AGE 3 - 5
Children in the Preschool Program enjoy themes, field trips, special events, and graduation that builds self-confidence and socialization skills. Swim lessons are included in the half day Monday, Wednesday, and Friday program. We offer full-day and half-day preschool programs. The Y provides a stimulating learning environment for preschoolers.

Summer Camp

We offer an excellent variety of camp, including half day and full day offerings and before and after camp options. Visit our summer camp page here for full information.

21st Century Community Learning

The Lower Bucks Family YMCA Bristol Township 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant provides out-of-school programs in partnership with Bristol Township schools and community-based organizations to close achievement gaps. These programs provide academic enrichment activities, positive youth development, parent and family engagement, and community support. We offer a wide array of services designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program, such as drug and violence prevention programs, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs, and character education programs. The project also provides literacy and related educational development services to the families of the children served in the program.

We believe that to bring about meaningful change in individuals and communities, we must be focused and accountable. At the Y, we measure the success of our cause by how well we engage communities in our three areas of focus.
