gymnasticsRWelcome to the Lower Bucks Family YMCA preschool/progressive gymnastics program. We hope that your child has a wonderful experience with us. We ask that you please read the following information carefully as it should answer many of your questions.

Our objective at LBFYMCA is to offer a fun, safe well-rounded introduction to the wonderful sport of gymnastics. It will also provide a stepping stone to further their skills, and advance to our pre-team, if the child so desires.

Ages 18 months to 3 years

Build social and motor skills learning to tumble together.

Ages 4 - 5 years

Begin to learn basic bars, beams and floor skills.

Ages 6-12 years

Participants will be divided by age and skill level in the class.

Ages 8+ years

Participants will be divided by age and skill level in the class.

Policies & Important Information:

Girls should wear leotards or uni-tards. No dancewear with skirts. Bare-feet is a must. NO SOCKS. Hair that touches the shoulders should be secured in a ponytail, braids or a bun. No jewelry with the exception of medical emergency bracelet, religious/temple, or stud earrings. Boys should wear t-shirt and gym shorts.

With the exception of our pre-school movement classes, parent observation is limited to the first and last classes of each session. This rule is exclusively for the safety of the student as we need their full attention. We ask that you please adhere to this rule. All gymnastics, tumbling, and recreational classes are offered on an 8 week session. Information for sign-ups will be listed in the brochures and online for FALL 1, FALL 2, WINTER, SPRING 1 and SPRING 2. Typically, registration will start 2 weeks before the session for members and 1 week before the session starts for non-members.

If your child is here, they will learn. You and your child have chosen to sign-up for a class during a particular time period, please make every effort to attend as many of our classes are full and it is difficult to accommodate make up classes. Make-up classes must be scheduled and approved by Kevin Crail.
