Diabetes Program

Y USA 2011 1829 hr

Diabetes Prevention Program is a community-based lifestyle improvement program for adults with pre-diabetes. The program provides a supportive environment where participants work together in a small group to learn about healthier eating and increasing their physical activity in order to reduce their risk for developing diabetes.

Journey Program

A Lower Bucks Family YMCA membership can support you in your journey of beginning or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Only at the Y, do Health Seekers of all ages, incomes and background have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Member Journey

Every three months, members are entitled to JOURNEY, an approach to wellness that involves personal fitness assessments, equipment training and lots of support. Choose any or all of these options every three months:

GOAL SETTING CONVERSATION

Meet with a Y Staff Member in your area of interest. Share your health and fitness goals and get direction and support to help achieve them.

ORIENTATION

Meet with a Y Staff Member (or Fitness Coach, Swim Instructor or Member Engagement Team Member) to gain comfort and familiarity within the area of your interest. Includes up to two, 30-60 minute appointments.

FITNESS EVALUATION

Meet with a Personal Trainer to determine starting point or progress check-up for cardiovascular fitness, strength, and endurance. Compliments every form of exercise training. Teen evaluation available. For more information please contact the Welcome Center at 215.949.3400.

21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTERS

GIVE SMThe Lower Bucks Family YMCA Bristol Township 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant provides out-of-school programs in partnership with Bristol Township schools and community-based organizations to close achievement gaps. These programs provide academic enrichment activities, positive youth development, parent and family engagement, and community support. We offer a wide array of services designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program, such as drug and violence prevention programs, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs, and character education programs. The project also provides literacy and related educational development services to the families of the children served in the program.

 

Parties & Rentals

Both Members and NonMembers can plan a birthday party at the Lower Bucks Family YMCA!

swim R1There are multiple party packages to choose from! Guests receive 1-hour of activity from any package and a separate party room for pizza, cake, and socializing for a total of 2 hours. Your personal Party Host will be there to assist you during your party too! While you are socializing as guests depart, YMCA staff will clean up and get your gifts and leftovers ready for you to take home.

The Y provides to following added value in all party packages:

  • 1 Host/Hostess who will set-up and clean-up party room and assist with your party needs
  • Invitations
  • One Lifeguard (Pool Parties)
  • Instructors (Gym & Dance Parties)
  • Private Party Room
  • Pizza

Full Member: $225
NonMember: $300
$100 non-refundable deposit prior to party day

SPLASHIN BASH (Not private)

Have a blast in our Instructional Pool! This party is held during recreational swim hours and is not a private pool party. Please see pool policies for important safety information. Includes maximum of 25 guests and schedule generally includes 15-minutes for  swim testing, 45-minutes of  pool celebration, 15-minutes of changing time, one hour in party room, and one lifeguard.

FUN & GAMES PARTY

Love relay races, dodgeball, games and tag? Instructor-led, age-appropriate games make your party super fun and special. Includes 20 guests.Schedule generally includes one hours of games with one instructor (in gymnasium) and one hours in party room.

DANCE PARTY

Designed exclusively for grades K-6. Enjoy a high-energy dance party with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and music kids will love. Includes 20 guests. Schedule generally includes one hour of dance and fun with one instructor with one hour in party room.

SPECTACULAR SPORTS

Basketball, hockey, flag football and soccer. Select the sport (or two) of your choice for a fun-filled and active party in our spacious gym. All equipment supplied. Includes 20 guests. Schedule generally includes one hour of games with one instructor and one hour in party room.

GYMNASTICS PARTY

A fun combination of free play and structured instructional tumbling on our tumbling mats; this party is sure to turn you upside down! Play games, tumble and roll! Party does not include gymnastics equipment (rings & bar).  Includes 20 guests. Schedules generally includes one hour of tumbling with two instructors and 30 minutes in party room. 
 

PRIVATE SPLASHIN' BASH

This party is EXCLUSIVE and held after-hours, 7:00-9:00 PM. Great option for larger parties, scout or school celebrations, church groups and more! Please see pool policies for important safety information. Party MUST be booked one month in advance.  Includes a maximum of 35 guests. Schedules generally includes 15-minutes of swim testing, one hour of pool celebration, 15 minutes of changing time, one hour in party room and two lifeguards.
