policiesThe following policies are in effect for all pools where Lower Bucks Family YMCA programming takes place.

    1. State Law requires all swimmers to take a soap shower before entering and re-entry to the pool and hot tub.
    2. All swimmers must wear bathing suits. Cutoffs, gym or tennis shorts are not allowed.
    3. No running on the pool deck.
    4. Ramp is for entry and exit of the pool. Please do not stand or play on or around the ramp.
    5. Please do not enter the pool if you are experiencing or recovering from diarrhea or if you have had any signs or symptoms of stomach disease in the previous seven days.
    6. Persons showing evidence of any communicable skin disease including open sores, blisters or cuts, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge or any other communicable disease should not enter the pool or hot tub without written permission from a medical professional.
    7. Children who are not toilet trained or children who are recently toilet trained MUST wear a swimming diaper.
    8. Children should be encouraged to use the restroom before entering the water.
    9. Immediately report any "accidents" you observe in the pool or on the pool deck to a lifeguard or management.
    10. Coast Guard approved life vests are the only acceptable flotation device during open swim.
    11. Any child wearing a life vest must be within arm's reach and directly supervised in the water by an adult over the age of 18.
    12. Spitting or splashing water is prohibited.
    13. Photographs and video are strictly prohibited.
    14. Food or beverages are not allowed on pool decks.
    15. Strollers are not allowed on the pool decks.
    16. Children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 in the pool areas. Any child 12 years old and younger in the pool must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 in the water.
    17. Toys, aquatic exercise equipment and floats are not permitted in pool during open swim times.No ball playing.
    18. Conduct which endangers the safety and comfort of others shall be prohibited.
    19. Lightning Policy: The YMCA will require immediate closure of all pools in the event that lightning or thunder is present in or around the area.The pools will remain closed until 30 minutes past the last visible lightning strike or episode of thunder.
    20. Aquatics management and lifeguards will enforce any rule as deemed necessary to ensure the safety of the aquatic facility and our members and guests.
    21. Lap swimming is for ages 13 and up.
    22. Classes that are cancelled due to events that are out of the YMCA's control, such as thunder, lightning emergency pool cleaning etc., will not be made up.
    23. To ensure proper class ratios, registration for all classes will be accepted until the end of the second class of each session. At that point, all class registrations will close.
