Veterans Program

VETERANS WELLNESS PROGRAM

veteranRlbLower Bucks Family YMCA is proud to offer the Veterans Pathway Program. Veterans of all ages and abilities who are looking to get back to a healthier lifestyle are encouraged to join our next group and begin on a path to a healthier lifestyle. We greatly thank Veterans for their service and want to offer our resources at the Y to help those looking to refocus their efforts on improving mind, body, and spirit.

The Veterans group meets twice a week for 12-weeks and has full access to all of the facilities and programs that Lower Bucks Family YMCA has to offer, with the personal support of Y staff and trainers.

This free program includes:

  • Participation in 12-week Veterans Wellness Program (for veteran & spouse/partner) which includes activities such as yoga, personal training, classes, and more.
  • Family membership during the 12-week duration of the Veterans Wellness Program
  • 6-month Adult memberships for veteran & spouse/partner after successful completion of the 12-week program (attend at least 16 classes and perform a community service project.)

Who can participate in the Veterans Wellness program?

Is the program free?

Program is free of charge to members and non-members who are veterans and includes a 12-week family membership for the duration of the program.

Participants must attend at least sixteen of the sessions and complete a group service project. If achieved, participants (veterans & spouse/partner) receive six months of adult membership.

Meetings are fitness and well-being focused and include Tai Chi, Yoga, Aqua Fitness and Nutrition

How do I qualify?

Participants take a pre- and post-fitness and well-being assessment.

We believe that to bring about meaningful change in individuals and communities, we must be focused and accountable. At the Y, we measure the success of our cause by how well we engage communities in our three areas of focus.
