Y announces donation from Dominion Energy

Written by LBFYMCA on 11 July 2018.

dominionRLower Bucks Family YMCA is grateful to receive a donation from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation in support of the Y’s Youth Education Center in Morrisville. The donation will be used to help fund Financial Assistance programs for families in need.

Last week Director of Dominion Energy’s Fairless Power Station, Robert Sauer, presented Morrisville Branch Director Janet Allen and Director of Youth Education of Pre-K Counts, Michele Fina, with a check for $7,500. They were joined by children from Morrisville Youth Education Center.

“We are proud for the seventh straight year to support Lower Bucks Family YMCA in the Morrisville area,” said Sauer. “The YMCA’s year-round child care, after-school and summer camp programs provide many opportunities for at-risk children to find and stay on the right path for future nutritional, physical and educational growth.”

Lower Bucks Family YMCA has been providing child care for more than 50 years and offers affordable, developmentally appropriate, curriculum-based programs for young children ages infant to five years. In Morrisville, more than 130 children are served annually and 99% of families receive financial assistance.
